WARNING: This episode contains strong language and a discussion of self-harm.
Conley Ipson is a hard-working young man. He's married, has a toddler, and, in 2014, was working his tail off as a solo-preneur.
What people looking from the outside didn't know was that he was behind on his truck payments. His business was in tatters because he was overworked and underpaid. He was floundering. When the bank repossessed his truck, he found himself unable to work.
The business to which he tied his identity and self-worth was failing, which meant he was failing.
That's how Conley found himself at rock bottom, planning to end his life.
If you need help or someone to talk to, you can reach out to the Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1-800-273-8255.
As mentioned in the episode, Psychology Today's Find a Therapist tool is an excellent way to find a qualified mental health professional.
