Mike Callahan is a successful service business owner in Upstate New York. He's worked his way out of the day-to-day operations and now spends a large percentage of his time helping other owners succeed. He's a talented businessman with a heart that wants to build up and give back to the community of business owners.
His focus has been lawn care and landscaping but his true expertise is business optimization and efficiency. Owners of any service business will be able to extract nuggets of simple, actionable advice from Cody Owen and Bear Duplisea's interview with him.
This is the first of what we're calling "Member Journey" stories. We sit down with Mike and have him recount his start and what inspired him to get into business for himself rather than working for someone else. We hope that hearing Mike's inspiration reminds you of your own. Regularly returning to what made you an entrepreneur keeps your head in the right place and makes for a healthier business.
Mike also recounts hardships, professional and personal, that impacted him, how he overcame them, and the success his business experienced on the other side.
He also talks about the what he's doing to stay ahead of the technological curve and all of the awesome things his business is doing with Facebook advertising and Messenger automation.
